मत्स्यैः सह गताः स्वर्गं देविकायाः प्रभावतः । चैत्रस्यैव तु मासस्य शुक्लपक्षे त्रयोदशीम्
matsyaiḥ saha gatāḥ svargaṃ devikāyāḥ prabhāvataḥ | caitrasyaiva tu māsasya śuklapakṣe trayodaśīm
By the sacred potency of Devikā, they went to heaven together with the fish. This merit is connected with the thirteenth lunar day in the bright fortnight of the month of Caitra.
Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Devikā-tīrtha (Prabhāsa-kṣetra)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A luminous riverbank of Devikā at Prabhāsa; fish leap in shimmering water as a celestial path opens upward, suggesting their ascent to svarga; a subtle lunar calendar motif indicates Caitra śukla trayodaśī.
A holy site’s divine potency can uplift all beings; sacred time (tithi) further intensifies the fruit of devotion.
Devikā (and by context the Devikā–Jāleśvara sacred complex) within Prabhāsakṣetra.
The verse highlights an auspicious observance-time: Caitra month, bright fortnight, Trayodaśī—implying enhanced merit for snāna/worship then.
