ब्रह्मादिस्तंबपर्यंता देवर्षि मनुमानवाः । तृप्यन्तु पितरः सर्वे मातृमातामहादयः
brahmādistaṃbaparyaṃtā devarṣi manumānavāḥ | tṛpyantu pitaraḥ sarve mātṛmātāmahādayaḥ
From Brahmā down to the very grass and plants; the gods, seers, Manus, and humans—may all the Pitṛs be satisfied: the maternal ancestors, the maternal grandfathers, and the rest.
Sūta (deduced)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra (tarpaṇa rite context)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A ritualist offers water; above him appear layered cosmic tiers—Brahmā, devas, ṛṣis, Manus, humans—descending to grasses; in the foreground, pitṛs including maternal ancestors receive satisfaction, shown as calm luminous figures.
Purāṇic ritual vision is cosmic and compassionate: offerings aim at universal harmony and ancestral contentment.
The verse functions as a tarpaṇa prayer within the Prabhāsakṣetra rite sequence rather than naming a new site.
A tarpaṇa-style invocation praying for the satisfaction of pitṛs, including the maternal lineage.
