Narrator (Purāṇic narrator within Prabhāsakṣetramāhātmya)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śaunaka et al. (frame)
Scene: The father performs upanayana: the boy receives yajñopavīta, holds a daṇḍa, and is instructed in discipline; the atmosphere is solemn, driven by impending danger.
