And he performed fierce austerities in this sacred kṣetra, O beloved Pārvatī; and, having duly installed Maheśvara (Śiva) here, he continued that discipline for a thousand divine years.
Śiva (addressing Pārvatī)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra

Scene: Bharata performs fierce tapas in a coastal sacred landscape; a newly installed Śiva-liṅga stands on a pedestal, with Pārvatī addressed as ‘priye’ in the narration’s frame.
A sacred place magnifies tapas, and Śiva-pratiṣṭhā joined with sustained discipline becomes a powerful means to attain divine favor.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra (Prabhāsa), praised as a potent field for austerity and Śaiva consecration.
