tataḥ siddheśvaraṃ liṃgaṃ kalau khyātaṃ varānane | yadā somena saṃyuktā kṛṣṇā śivacaturdaśī | tadaiva tasya devasya darśanaṃ devi durllabham
Thereafter, O fair-faced one, that liṅga became famed in the Kali Yuga as Siddheśvara. And when the dark fortnight’s Śiva-Caturdaśī is joined with Soma (the Moon), then indeed, O Devī, the darśana of that God is exceedingly rare and supremely significant.
Narrator (likely Skanda) addressing Devī
Tirtha: Siddheśvara/Siddhaliṅga at Prabhāsa
Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī (Pārvatī)
Scene: At Prabhāsa-kṣetra, the Siddheśvara liṅga is approached on a rare moon-linked Śiva-caturdaśī night; devotees wait in reverent stillness as the moonlight and lamp-flames reveal the liṅga’s presence.
Sacred time (tithi and lunar conjunction) and sacred place together intensify the rarity and value of divine darśana.
Siddheśvara-liṅga in Prabhāsa Kṣetra, highlighted as especially renowned in Kali Yuga.
Seeking darśana/worship on Kṛṣṇa Pakṣa Śiva-Caturdaśī, particularly when it coincides with Soma (Moon-related conjunction), is emphasized as exceptionally significant.
