praṇipatya gṛhītvārghyaṃ paṃcaratnasamanvitam | sapuṣpākṣatagaṃdhaiśca phalahemasucaṃdanaiḥ
After bowing down, one should take up an arghya-offering furnished with the five gems, together with flowers, akṣata (unbroken rice), fragrances, fruits, gold, and fine sandalwood.
