Delighted by the loud sounds of musical instruments and cries of victory, they reached the bank of the Gomati, endowed with the fruits of all sacrifices; and all those supremely meritorious ones, their minds elated, offered reverent salutations.
Narrative voice (contextual Purāṇic narrator; specific speaker not explicit in this verse)
Tirtha: Gomatī-tīra (Dvārakā)
Type: ghat/tīra
Scene: A jubilant crowd of devas and sages arrives at the shimmering riverbank; musicians play loudly, banners flutter, and the group collectively bows toward the sacred waters.
Reverence at a great tīrtha is equated with vast spiritual merit, even comparable to the fruit of many yajñas.
The Gomati tīra (bank of the Gomati River) at Dvārakā is directly glorified.
Offering salutations and approaching the Gomati tīrtha in a celebratory, devotional procession is implied.
