स नमस्कृत्य देवेभ्यो ब्रह्मणे परमात्मने । भगवद्भक्तिर्युक्तः सन्व्याहर्त्तुमुपचक्रमे
sa namaskṛtya devebhyo brahmaṇe paramātmane | bhagavadbhaktiryuktaḥ sanvyāharttumupacakrame
Having offered obeisance to the gods and to Brahmā, the Supreme Self, and being endowed with devotion to Bhagavān, he then began to speak.
