bhadrakarṇagaṇonāma purāsīcchivavallabhaḥ | tenātra sthāpitaṃ liṃgaṃ hradaścaiva vinirmitaḥ
Formerly there was a gaṇa named Bhadrakarṇa, beloved of Śiva. It was he who established the liṅga here and also caused this lake to be fashioned.
