उद्द्योतं कुरुते सूर्यो यादृक्तस्याभिसंमतः । यज्ञभागं विनाऽप्येष भयात्पार्थिवसत्तम
uddyotaṃ kurute sūryo yādṛktasyābhisaṃmataḥ | yajñabhāgaṃ vinā'pyeṣa bhayātpārthivasattama
O best of kings, even Sūrya gives forth light only to the measure approved by him; and out of fear he continues his office, though deprived of his share in the yajña.
