पुलस्त्य उवाच । कृष्णतीर्थं ततो गच्छेत्कृष्णस्य दयितं सदा । यत्र सन्निहितो नित्यं स्वयं विष्णुर्महीपते । ययातिरुवाच । कृष्णतीर्थं कथं तत्र जातं ब्राह्मणसत्तम । कस्मिन्काले मुने ब्रूहि सर्वं विस्तरतो मम
pulastya uvāca | kṛṣṇatīrthaṃ tato gacchetkṛṣṇasya dayitaṃ sadā | yatra sannihito nityaṃ svayaṃ viṣṇurmahīpate | yayātiruvāca | kṛṣṇatīrthaṃ kathaṃ tatra jātaṃ brāhmaṇasattama | kasminkāle mune brūhi sarvaṃ vistarato mama
Pulastya said: “Then one should go to Kṛṣṇatīrtha, ever beloved of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, where Lord Viṣṇu Himself abides eternally, O king.” Yayāti said: “How did Kṛṣṇatīrtha arise there, O best of brāhmaṇas? Tell me, sage—at what time did it come to be? Explain everything to me in detail.”
