Narratorial voice (contextual Purāṇic narration; speaker not explicitly marked in this verse)
Tirtha: Arbuda-tīrtha (contextual)
Type: ghat
Scene: A quiet pañcamī morning: a householder sits near the water’s edge on darbha grass, performing tarpaṇa with cupped hands, with piṇḍa offerings arranged; priests recite mantras; the scene is solemn and focused.
Purāṇic dharma emphasizes both place and time: śrāddha done with concentration at the right tithi and month yields heightened tīrtha merit.
The same Arbuda-region tīrtha being described in Adhyāya 3; it is praised as especially fruitful for śrāddha observance.
Perform śrāddha at this tīrtha on pañcamī during the month called Nabhas, with a composed mind (samāhita).
