यज्ञभागो हृतोऽस्माकं दैत्यानां स प्रकल्पितः । तेन स्वर्गः समाक्रान्तः सुराः सर्वे निराकृताः
yajñabhāgo hṛto'smākaṃ daityānāṃ sa prakalpitaḥ | tena svargaḥ samākrāntaḥ surāḥ sarve nirākṛtāḥ
Our rightful share in the sacrifices has been stolen, and that portion has been assigned to the Daityas. By this, heaven has been seized, and all the gods have been cast out.
Devas
Tirtha: Arbuda (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Devas describe the theft of their sacrificial portions and the seizure of heaven; imagery can juxtapose a disrupted yajña with a darkened svarga.
Sacrifice symbolizes cosmic order; when the yajña-share is usurped by adharma, the worlds fall out of balance, requiring divine correction.
No tīrtha is named; the verse focuses on yajñic order and the devas’ displacement.
It references the concept of yajñabhāga (allotted sacrificial portions), implying proper ritual distribution as part of dharma.
