“I will take you to where your guru—an abode of all virtues—resides.” Having mounted upon his back, he set out toward the hermitage.
Agni (speaking within Vasiṣṭha’s narration)
Tirtha: Gautama-āśrama
Type: kshetra
Scene: A determined seeker is carried swiftly toward a forest hermitage, intent on reaching the revered guru described as an abode of virtues.
The highest path resolves in returning to the guru; divine help culminates in completing one’s duty with humility.
The verse points to the guru’s āśrama (hermitage) as the sacred destination in the story, not a named pilgrimage-tīrtha.
None; the emphasis is on reaching the guru to fulfill the entrusted task.
