ततः परं क्रौञ्चसंज्ञं द्विगुणं हि घृताब्धिना । ततः शाल्मलिद्वीपं च द्विगुणं तावतैव च
tataḥ paraṃ krauñcasaṃjñaṃ dviguṇaṃ hi ghṛtābdhinā | tataḥ śālmalidvīpaṃ ca dviguṇaṃ tāvataiva ca
Beyond that lies the continent called Krauñca, double in extent, encircled by an ocean of ghee (ghṛta). Thereafter comes Śālmalidvīpa also, likewise twice as large, in the same manner.
