Whether one listens to it or causes it to be heard, that person becomes renowned. He gains long life, good fortune, prosperity, radiance, and an auspicious presence.
Sūta (deduced) presenting phalaśruti
Tirtha: Kumāreśvara (implied)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee listens to a Skanda-kathā near a sanctum; the narrator recites while lamps glow, and the listener is shown gaining radiance and auspicious presence.
Sharing sacred narration is itself a dharmic offering; hearing and teaching Purāṇic kathā are both praised as merit-producing.
No single tīrtha is named in this verse; it functions as a general phalaśruti for Skanda-related narration within the Kaumārikā section.
Śravaṇa (listening) and śrāvaṇa (causing others to hear/reciting publicly) are recommended.
