dhāvataścāpi kalpāṃtaṃ rudrakalpasya tasya yāḥ | mukhātsamudyajurjvālāstābiḥ kharvaśataṃ hatam
As he rushed on with end-of-aeon fury—like that of Rudra at the close of a cycle—flames surged from his mouth; by those flames, hundreds of kharvas were destroyed.
Narrator (Sūta/Lomaharṣaṇa, per Māheśvara-khaṇḍa narration convention)
Scene: Hari rushes with pralaya-like fury; flames burst from his mouth, sweeping across ranks of daityas; the fire is bright, wind-driven, consuming vast multitudes (kharva-count).
When dharma is threatened, divine energy can appear as pralaya-like force—terrible yet corrective.
