स्कन्धे गरुत्मतः सोऽपि निषसाद विचेतनः । खड्गेन राक्षसेन्द्रं च भित्त्वा भूमावपातयत्
skandhe garutmataḥ so'pi niṣasāda vicetanaḥ | khaḍgena rākṣasendraṃ ca bhittvā bhūmāvapātayat
He too slumped unconscious upon Garuḍa’s shoulder. Then, splitting the lord of the rākṣasas with a sword, he cast him down to the earth.
Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta), narrating to the sages
Scene: Keśava, struck, slumps unconscious against Garuḍa’s shoulder; immediately the narrative turns to a counterstroke— a sword cleaves the rākṣasa-lord, who falls earthward.
Even if the righteous momentarily falter, divine support restores them to complete the work of protecting dharma.
