Pākaśāsana leapt down from the chariot to the ground; and the mace too fell upon the chariot-seat, roaring with a harsh sound.
Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta), narrating to the sages
Scene: Indra (Pākaśāsana) springs down from his chariot; the mace slips and crashes onto the chariot-seat, emitting a harsh, thunder-like roar; dust and startled horses frame the moment of sudden vulnerability.
