तस्य संपूजनान्मर्त्यो विज्वरो जायते क्षणात् । प्राच्यां वेदेश्वरस्तस्य चतुर्वेदफलप्रदः
tasya saṃpūjanānmartyo vijvaro jāyate kṣaṇāt | prācyāṃ vedeśvarastasya caturvedaphalapradaḥ
By fully worshipping that Vijvara-liṅga, a mortal becomes free from fever and affliction in an instant. To its east is Vedeśvara, who grants the fruit of the four Vedas.
Skanda (deduced; Kāśīkhaṇḍa commonly Skanda → Agastya)
Tirtha: Vijvara-liṅga; Vedeśvara (east of Vijvara)
Type: kshetra
Scene: At Vijvara, a devotee performs elaborate pūjā; a faint fever-demon motif dissolves into light, signifying instant cure. To the east, Vedeśvara is shown with four Vedas personified as radiant manuscripts or ṛṣis offering blessings.
Kāśī’s worship is both remedial and elevating: sincere pūjā heals suffering and also opens the way to Vedic sanctity and spiritual fruition.
Vijvara-liṅga (for instant relief from jvara/affliction) and Vedeśvara to its east (for caturveda-phala).
Saṃpūjana (full/complete worship) of Vijvara is explicitly stated; Vedeśvara is praised for granting Vedic fruit.
