By the mere sight of that (Goprekṣa), one fully obtains the merit produced by gifting cows. For in former times, cows were themselves sent from Goloka by Śambhu (Śiva) in person.
Skanda (deduced; Kāśīkhaṇḍa commonly Skanda → Agastya)
Tirtha: Goprekṣa-liṅga
Type: kshetra
Scene: At the Goprekṣa liṅga, a devotee’s darśana triggers a visionary tableau: celestial cows descending from Goloka, guided by Śiva’s will; the liṅga glows as if reflecting a herd’s gentle presence.
Kāśī intensifies merit: darśana at a sanctified liṅga can equal major acts of charity, showing how place, devotion, and divine grace converge.
The Goprekṣa liṅga, praised for granting the fruit of go-dāna through darśana.
Cow-gift (go-dāna) is referenced as a benchmark of merit; the verse emphasizes darśana as an equivalent merit-bearing act.
