ततोहं तस्य तपसा संतुष्टः स्थिरचेतसः । ययौ तस्मै वरान्दातुं शमनाय महात्मने

Transliteration

tatohaṃ tasya tapasā saṃtuṣṭaḥ sthiracetasaḥ | yayau tasmai varāndātuṃ śamanāya mahātmane

Translation

Then, pleased by the austerities of that steadfast-minded one, I went to grant boons to that great soul—Śamana (Yama).
