yāvaccharīramarujaṃ yāvanneṃdriyaviplavaḥ | tāvattrilocanaṃ kāśyāmanarcyāśnāmi nāṇvapi
So long as my body remains free from illness and my senses do not fail, I shall not eat even a morsel without first worshiping Trilocana in Kāśī.
Skanda (narrating the vow; vow voiced by Parimalālaya within Skanda’s narration)
Tirtha: Trilocana in Kāśī
Type: temple
Scene: A devotee at dawn in Kāśī offers flowers and water to Trilocana, then sits with a simple meal untouched, indicating he will not eat without worship; the shrine lamp glows beside the Ganga breeze.
Daily life becomes sādhana when nourishment is preceded by worship—placing Śiva and Kāśī at the center of routine.
Kāśī (Vārāṇasī) is explicitly named as the place where Trilocana is to be worshiped.
A vrata-like rule: do not eat until after worshiping Trilocana in Kāśī.
