पवित्रपर्वणि सदा श्रावणे मासि यत्नतः । लिंगे पवित्रमारोप्य महादेवे न गर्भभाक्

Transliteration

pavitraparvaṇi sadā śrāvaṇe māsi yatnataḥ | liṃge pavitramāropya mahādeve na garbhabhāk

Translation

On the sacred Pavitraparvan, especially in the month of Śrāvaṇa, one should carefully place the ‘pavitra’ thread or garland upon the Liṅga; by offering it to Mahādeva, one does not enter the womb again (is freed from rebirth).
