Having duly satisfied the devarṣis, and also the poor, the helpless, and the afflicted, one should bathe with faith according to proper rite, and then offer the salilāñjali—an añjali of sacred water.
Skanda (deduced, Kāśīkhaṇḍa context)
Tirtha: Gaṅgā in Kāśī
Type: ghat
Scene: At a Kāśī ghāṭa at dawn: a pilgrim after feeding the poor and honoring sages offers a cupped-hand water oblation to Gaṅgā; ascetics and needy sit nearby; temple spires and boats silhouette in mist.
Pilgrimage merit is perfected by compassion and right conduct—honoring seers, serving the distressed, and performing Gaṅgā-bathing with faith and proper rite.
The Gaṅgā in Kāśī (Vārāṇasī) is implied as the sacred setting for bathing and water-oblation.
Perform snāna (ritual bath) with śraddhā and vidhi, and offer salilāñjali (water oblation), along with satisfying seers and aiding the poor and afflicted.
