अग्निशुश्रूषणरतो वेदाध्ययनतत्परः । तस्य पुत्रो गुणनिधिश्चंद्रबिंबसमाकृतिः
agniśuśrūṣaṇarato vedādhyayanatatparaḥ | tasya putro guṇanidhiścaṃdrabiṃbasamākṛtiḥ
He was devoted to attentive service of the sacred fire and intent on Vedic study. His son was Guṇanidhi, whose face was like the orb of the moon.

Scene: Domestic sacred-fire service at dawn: Yajñadatta tending the fire with ladle and offerings; beside him, a youthful Guṇanidhi with moonlike face, calm and radiant.
Dharma is sustained by daily reverence to Agni and steadfast Vedic learning, forming the seedbed for virtue in a family line.
No tīrtha is directly praised; the verse continues the character-setting within the Kāśī-khaṇḍa frame.
Service to the sacred fire (Agni) and dedication to Vedic study are indicated as core disciplines.
