sūta uvāca | dharmeṇa sthāpitaṃ liṃgaṃ dharmeśvaramupasthitam | smaraṇātpūjanāttasya sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate
Sūta said: The Liṅga established by Dharma, known as Dharmeśvara, is present there. By remembering it and by worshipping it, one is freed from all sins.
Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa)
Tirtha: Dharmeśvara
Type: kshetra
Scene: Sūta narrates as pilgrims approach a serene shrine in Dharmāraṇya; the Dharmeśvara-liṅga stands firm, with Dharma personified offering a first worship; a subtle aura suggests sin-dissolution.
Even simple devotion—remembrance and worship—at a sanctified liṅga grants powerful purification and release from sin.
Dharmāraṇya is the implied kṣetra where the Dharmeśvara liṅga stands established by Dharma.
Smaraṇa (remembrance) and pūjā (worship) of Dharmeśvara are prescribed as means to remove sins.
