तदाकर्ण्य ततो रामः संभ्रमात्त्वरितो ययौ । दृष्ट्वा तां दुःखसंतप्तां स्वयं दुःखमवाप सः । उवाच वचनं रामः कृतांजलिपुटस्तदा
tadākarṇya tato rāmaḥ saṃbhramāttvarito yayau | dṛṣṭvā tāṃ duḥkhasaṃtaptāṃ svayaṃ duḥkhamavāpa saḥ | uvāca vacanaṃ rāmaḥ kṛtāṃjalipuṭastadā
Hearing that, Rāma hurried at once, driven by anxious haste. Seeing her tormented by sorrow, he too was overcome with grief. Then Rāma spoke, his hands joined in reverence.
