सैषाहं विधवा ब्रह्मन्दुष्कर्मफलभागिनी । त्वदाशीर्वचनस्यास्य कथं यास्यामि पात्रताम्
saiṣāhaṃ vidhavā brahmanduṣkarmaphalabhāginī | tvadāśīrvacanasyāsya kathaṃ yāsyāmi pātratām
“Indeed, I am a widow, O Brahman, one who bears the fruit of evil deeds. How shall I become a worthy vessel for this blessing-word of yours?”
Śārada (contextual)
Scene: The widow speaks with humility and sorrow, acknowledging her karmic burden; the blind sage listens attentively, poised to respond with instruction.
Self-awareness of karmic burden becomes the doorway to discipline (vrata) that purifies and restores spiritual eligibility.
No tīrtha is named in this verse.
Not yet; the question requests a means to become fit for the blessing.
