किं वा पुण्यं मम पितुः का वा मातुः कृतार्थता । यच्छिवार्थे समिद्धेऽग्नौ त्यजाम्येतत्कलेवरम्

What merit would there be for my father, and what fulfillment for my mother, if—when the fire is kindled for Śiva’s sake—I do not cast this very body into it as an offering?
