विमानेनार्कवर्णेन ह्यप्सरोगणसंवृतः । गीयमानस्तु गन्धर्वैर्रुद्रलोकं स गच्छति
vimānenārkavarṇena hyapsarogaṇasaṃvṛtaḥ | gīyamānastu gandharvairrudralokaṃ sa gacchati
Surrounded by hosts of apsarases and praised in song by gandharvas, he goes to Rudra’s world in a sun-hued celestial chariot.
Mārkaṇḍeya
Tirtha: Śikhitīrtha
Type: kshetra
Scene: A radiant, sun-colored celestial chariot descends; the devotee ascends amid apsarases; gandharvas sing, leading toward Rudra’s luminous realm.
Right worship at a tīrtha yields exalted spiritual fruition, depicted as ascent to Rudra’s divine realm.
The fruit is connected to the preceding rite at Śikhitīrtha in the Revā Khaṇḍa.
No new rite is added here; it states the phala (result) of the previously described snāna, tarpaṇa, dāna, and Śiva-pūjā.
