Bondage and Liberation: The Prakṛti–Karma Wheel and Śiva as the Transcendent Cause
यदूर्जितं च नित्यं च तद्धि पौरुषमुच्यते । यद्दुर्बलमनित्यं च तद्धि प्राकृतमुच्यते
yadūrjitaṃ ca nityaṃ ca taddhi pauruṣamucyate | yaddurbalamanityaṃ ca taddhi prākṛtamucyate
That which is powerful and eternal is indeed called the pauruṣa (the higher, conscious principle). But that which is weak and impermanent is indeed called prākṛta (of Prakṛti—material nature).

It teaches viveka (discernment): the eternal, empowering principle is aligned with the higher Self under Shiva’s lordship, while the weak and changing belongs to Prakriti; liberation comes by turning from the impermanent to the eternal reality of Pati (Shiva).
Linga-worship trains the mind to seek the nitya (eternal) Shiva beyond changing appearances; Saguna Shiva is approached devotionally as the stable refuge, leading the seeker from prākṛta attachments toward pauruṣa realization.
Practice japa of the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with steady attention on the eternal (nitya) Shiva, supported by simple Shaiva disciplines like Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrāksha to reduce prākṛta restlessness.
