शक्तितत्त्ववर्णनम् / Exposition of the Principle of Śakti
पतितो वापि धर्मात्मा पंडितो मूढ एव वा । प्रसादे तत्क्षणादेव मुच्यते नात्र संशयः
patito vāpi dharmātmā paṃḍito mūḍha eva vā | prasāde tatkṣaṇādeva mucyate nātra saṃśayaḥ
Whether one is fallen or righteous, whether learned or deluded—by Śiva’s grace one is released that very instant; of this there is no doubt.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: Stresses instantaneous liberation (tat-kṣaṇāt) by prasāda, overriding moral/intellectual binaries (fallen/righteous, learned/deluded). In Siddhānta, this maps to the decisive moment of Śiva’s anugraha that cuts pāśa when malas are ripe for removal.
Role: liberating
It teaches that moksha is ultimately secured by Shiva’s prasāda (saving grace): social status, learning, or even moral failure do not block liberation when devotion ripens and the Lord bestows release.
Linga-worship is a Saguna support through which the devotee approaches Shiva; this verse emphasizes that the fruit of such worship is not merely merit but Shiva’s direct grace, which can dissolve bondage instantly.
Seek Shiva’s prasāda through steady bhakti—daily Linga-pūjā with bhasma (Tripuṇḍra), Rudrākṣa, and japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” praying for inner purification and release.
