Maṇḍala Worship and Homa Sequence for the Disciple
निष्पन्नस्यैवमुत्पत्तिमनुवृत्तिं च कर्मणा । आर्जवं भोगनिष्पत्तिः कुर्यात्प्रीतिं परां तथा
niṣpannasyaivamutpattimanuvṛttiṃ ca karmaṇā | ārjavaṃ bhoganiṣpattiḥ kuryātprītiṃ parāṃ tathā
Thus, through right action one should understand both the arising and the continued course of what has come to be. Straightforwardness and the proper fruition of one’s enjoyments likewise bring about the highest joy, leading the soul toward Śiva’s grace.

It teaches that spiritual maturity comes from aligning action (karma) with dharma—understanding how experiences arise and continue, living with rectitude (ārjava), and allowing life’s enjoyments to culminate in inner contentment that opens the heart to Shiva’s grace.
Linga worship emphasizes purity of intention and disciplined conduct; this verse supports that by urging straightforwardness and right engagement with life, so devotion becomes steady and pleasing to Saguna Shiva, culminating in higher prīti (devotional joy).
Practice daily Shiva-japa (especially the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with honest self-audit of actions, and maintain sattvic discipline—optionally with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrāksha—to cultivate ārjava and stable inner joy.
