गौरीप्रवेशः—शिवसाक्षात्कारः
Gaurī’s Entry and the Vision of Śiva
त्वयाप्यविदितं नास्ति कथं कुपितवत्यसि । ततस्त्रिलोकरक्षार्थे कोपो मय्यपि ते कृतः
tvayāpyaviditaṃ nāsti kathaṃ kupitavatyasi | tatastrilokarakṣārthe kopo mayyapi te kṛtaḥ
“There is nothing unknown to you—so how have you become angry? Therefore, for the protection of the three worlds, you have directed even that wrath toward me.”
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: destructive
The verse frames divine “anger” as purposeful, not impulsive: even intense energies are subordinated to dharma and triloka-raksha. In Shaiva Siddhanta terms, Pati (Shiva) governs all powers so that cosmic order and the welfare of beings are preserved.
It highlights Saguna Shiva’s compassionate governance of the universe—He engages with worldly forces (like wrath) for protection, while remaining the supreme controller. Linga worship contemplates this: the formless Absolute made present as the Lord who regulates creation and dissolution for the good of all.
A practical takeaway is japa with the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to steady the mind when emotions surge, offering one’s anger into Shiva’s discipline of dharma; applying Tripuṇḍra bhasma can be taken as a reminder to transmute passion into protective, righteous action.
