गौरीप्रवेशः—शिवसाक्षात्कारः
Gaurī’s Entry and the Vision of Śiva
न कर्मणा सृजामीदं जगत्प्रतिसृजामि च । सर्वस्याज्ञैकलभ्यत्वादाज्ञात्वं हि गरीयसी
na karmaṇā sṛjāmīdaṃ jagatpratisṛjāmi ca | sarvasyājñaikalabhyatvādājñātvaṃ hi garīyasī
“I do not create this universe by any binding action, nor do I recreate it by action. Since all things are attained only through My command, sovereignty as the Lord’s command is indeed supreme.”
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: Not a site narrative; it asserts that creation/re-creation is not driven by binding karma but by the Lord’s ājñā (sovereign will), a key Siddhānta marker of Pati’s independence.
Cosmic Event: kalpa-cycle implied (re-creation/pratisṛṣṭi)
It asserts Shiva as Pati (the Supreme Lord) who is not bound by karma; creation and dissolution occur by His sovereign command (ājñā), highlighting divine freedom and the soul’s dependence on grace for liberation.
Linga worship trains the devotee to recognize Shiva as the transcendent Lord beyond karmic limitation; the Saguna form is approached in devotion, while this verse points to His ultimate, unconditioned sovereignty behind all cosmic functions.
Practice japa of the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with the contemplation that all results arise by Shiva’s ājñā (grace), offering actions and their fruits to Him to loosen karmic bondage.
