नरकलोकवर्णनम् (Narakaloka-varṇanam) — Description of the Hell-Realms
ततस्स वायुना स्पृष्टस्सतैरुज्जीवितः पुनः । ततः पापविशुद्ध्यर्थं क्षिपंति नरकार्णवे
tatassa vāyunā spṛṣṭassatairujjīvitaḥ punaḥ | tataḥ pāpaviśuddhyarthaṃ kṣipaṃti narakārṇave
Then, touched by the wind, he is revived again by hundreds (of attendants). After that, for the purification of sins, they cast him into the ocean of hell.

It emphasizes karmic retribution: the jīva is repeatedly made to experience consequences until pāpa is exhausted, pointing to the need for Shiva-oriented purification and liberation beyond cyclical suffering.
By contrasting hellish consequences with purification, it implicitly directs the seeker toward Saguna Shiva worship—Linga devotion, mantra, and disciplined living—as remedial means to reduce pāpa and move toward Shiva’s grace.
A practical takeaway is regular Panchākṣarī japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with devotion, along with Shaiva purificatory observances such as Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and vrata on Mahāśivarātri to restrain pāpa-producing actions.
