Pitṛbhakti and Śrāddha: The Classification of Pitṛs and the Superiority of Pitṛ-kārya
अस्माकं ज्ञानसंयोगस्सर्वेषां योगसाधनम् । इदं च कार्यं संरब्धं श्लोकमेकमुदाहृतम्
asmākaṃ jñānasaṃyogassarveṣāṃ yogasādhanam | idaṃ ca kāryaṃ saṃrabdhaṃ ślokamekamudāhṛtam

It asserts that genuine realization (jñāna) is not separate from yoga: when consciousness unites with right knowledge under Shiva’s grace, it becomes the universal means to attain liberation.
In Shaiva Siddhanta, Saguna worship (Linga, mantra, pūjā) purifies the paśu (soul) and prepares it for jñāna; this verse highlights the culmination—inner union with knowledge—toward which such worship is directed.
A focused, resolute sādhanā: steady meditation supported by Shiva-oriented disciplines such as japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and contemplative inquiry into the Self under devotion to Shiva.
