Diti–Kaśyapa Narrative
ततस्त्वाधाय सोऽदित्यां गर्भं तं शंसितव्रतः । जगाम कश्यपस्तप्तुं तपस्संहृष्टमानसः
tatastvādhāya so'dityāṃ garbhaṃ taṃ śaṃsitavrataḥ | jagāma kaśyapastaptuṃ tapassaṃhṛṣṭamānasaḥ
Then that Kaśyapa—firm in his praised vows—having placed that embryo in Aditi, went forth to practise austerity, his mind rejoicing, intent on tapas.

It highlights that sacred outcomes arise through dharmic resolve (vrata) and tapas—disciplines that purify the mind and make one fit for divine fruition, consistent with Shaiva emphasis on inner purification and right conduct.
Though the verse is narrative, its spirit aligns with Saguna Shiva worship: devotees sustain vows and austerities as supportive limbs of bhakti, approaching Shiva’s grace through disciplined living and focused practice.
A takeaway is vrata with tapas: maintain purity and restraint, combine steady japa (especially the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with regular worship, and cultivate a joyful, unwavering mind in sadhana.
