कुहरः पुष्पदन्तश्च दुर्मुखास्सुमुखस्तथा । बहुशः खररोमा च पाणिरित्येवमादयः
kuharaḥ puṣpadantaśca durmukhāssumukhastathā | bahuśaḥ khararomā ca pāṇirityevamādayaḥ
“Kuhara, Puṣpadanta, Durmukha, and also Sumukha; likewise Bahuśa, Khararomā, and Pāṇi—these and others besides.”

The verse functions as a sacred catalog of named beings associated with the Shaiva narrative, emphasizing that Shiva’s sphere includes countless distinct devotees and attendants; remembering such names supports śraddhā (reverent faith) and a sense of belonging to the Lord’s cosmic order (Pati and His retinue).
By listing specific names, the text highlights Saguna Shiva’s accessible, relational dimension—where the Lord is approached through narratives, communities of devotees, and remembered forms—supporting Linga-worship as a concrete focus for devotion and purification.
A simple practice is nāma-smaraṇa: reciting Shiva’s name and (when contextually appropriate) the names of His attendants/devotees as part of japa before Linga-pūjā, ideally alongside the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
