Kṛṣṇādi-Śivabhaktoddhāraṇa & Śiva-māhātmya-varṇana
Deliverance of Krishna and other devotees; Description of Shiva’s Greatness
तथा दाशरथी रामश्शिवमाराध्य भक्तितः । कृतार्थोऽभून्मुनिश्रेष्ठ विजयी सर्वतोऽभवत्

So too, O best of sages, Rāma—the son of Daśaratha—devoutly propitiated Lord Śiva; his purpose was fulfilled, and he became victorious on every side.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
The verse teaches that sincere bhakti and ārādhana of Pati (Lord Śiva) brings kṛtārthatā—fulfilment of righteous aims—through Śiva’s grace, and removes obstacles (pāśa) that bind the soul (paśu).
It highlights propitiation of Śiva in a worshipful, personal (saguṇa) mode—typical of Purāṇic devotion—where the devotee approaches Śiva as the compassionate Lord who bestows victory and accomplishment; such worship is commonly expressed through Liṅga-pūjā, abhiṣeka, and mantra-japa.
The takeaway is bhakti-yukta Śiva-ārādhana: daily mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), along with simple Liṅga worship/abhiṣeka, offered with steadiness and devotion.
