Kṛṣṇādi-Śivabhaktoddhāraṇa & Śiva-māhātmya-varṇana
Deliverance of Krishna and other devotees; Description of Shiva’s Greatness
तस्मिंस्तांश्च वरान्दत्त्वा पार्वतीपरमेश्वरौ । तत्रैवांतश्च दधतुः कृत्वा कृष्णस्य सत्कृपाम्
tasmiṃstāṃśca varāndattvā pārvatīparameśvarau | tatraivāṃtaśca dadhatuḥ kṛtvā kṛṣṇasya satkṛpām
Having granted him those boons there, Pārvatī and Parameśvara then remained in that very place, inwardly composed—having thus shown their true and gracious favor to Kṛṣṇa.
Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages at Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
It highlights Śiva-Śakti as the compassionate bestowers of boons and inner steadiness; their “sat-kṛpā” (true grace) indicates anugraha—divine favor that supports the soul’s upliftment toward liberation.
By portraying Parameśvara as personally granting boons, the verse supports saguna upāsanā—devotion to Shiva with form and attributes—through which the devotee receives tangible blessings and inner composure, the fruit of Shiva’s grace.
A practical takeaway is to seek Shiva’s “sat-kṛpā” through steady bhakti—daily japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with inward recollection (antaḥ-sthiti), offering prayers to Shiva and Parvati for grace and inner stability.
