Kṛṣṇādi-Śivabhaktoddhāraṇa & Śiva-māhātmya-varṇana
Deliverance of Krishna and other devotees; Description of Shiva’s Greatness
“He shall be born as a human; he will become your son. And whatever you have prayed for—even the slightest thing—may you indeed obtain all of it.”
Lord Shiva (granting a boon/blessing within the Umāsaṃhitā narrative)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
The verse highlights Śiva’s anugraha (grace): sincere prayer aligned with dharma is answered, showing the Lord as Pati who compassionately lifts the pashu (bound soul) by fulfilling needs and guiding life’s course.
It reflects Saguna Śiva’s approachable, boon-giving aspect—worship of the Liṅga with devotion and purity of intent is portrayed as a direct relationship where the Lord responds and bestows results.
The practical takeaway is prayerful bhakti—regular japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with simple Liṅga-pūjā (water/abhisheka) as a focused way to place one’s prārthanā before Śiva.
