Cosmic Measures and the Arrangement of the Heavenly Spheres
बीजाद्वृक्षप्ररोहेण यथा नापचयस्तरोः । सूर्य्यकांतमणेः सूर्य्याद्यद्वद्वह्निः प्रजायते
bījādvṛkṣapraroheṇa yathā nāpacayastaroḥ | sūryyakāṃtamaṇeḥ sūryyādyadvadvahniḥ prajāyate
Just as a tree is not diminished when a sprout arises from its seed, and just as fire is produced from the sūryakānta gem by the sun’s rays, so too the manifestation that proceeds from the Supreme Lord does not lessen Him in any way.
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: teaching
Cosmic Event: doctrine of avikāritva (unchangeability) amid emanation
It teaches that Shiva, the Supreme Pati, remains पूर्ण (complete) and unchanged even when the universe or divine powers manifest from Him—creation does not reduce the Creator.
Linga-worship honors Shiva as the unchanging source: forms and manifestations arise for grace and worship, yet the Lord’s essence remains untouched—supporting Saguna devotion grounded in Nirguna truth.
Meditate on Shiva as the immutable source while repeating the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), cultivating steadiness (niṣkampa-bhāva) that the Lord’s presence pervades all manifestations without limitation.
