Cosmic Measures and the Arrangement of the Heavenly Spheres
तथासौ परमात्मा वै सर्वं व्याप्यात्मवेदनः । आदिबीजात्प्रसुवते ततस्तेभ्यः परेण्डजाः
tathāsau paramātmā vai sarvaṃ vyāpyātmavedanaḥ | ādibījātprasuvate tatastebhyaḥ pareṇḍajāḥ
Thus that Supreme Self—self-luminous Consciousness—pervades all. From the primordial seed He brings forth creation; and from those beings, in turn, arise the higher egg-born creatures.
Suta Goswami (narrating the Shaiva philosophical teaching to the sages, in the style of the Umāsaṃhitā)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It affirms Shiva as Paramātman—immanent in all as consciousness—while also being the causal Lord who unfolds creation from the primal seed; liberation comes by recognizing this pervading Pati beyond the produced world.
The Linga signifies the formless, all-pervading reality that nevertheless becomes the ground of manifest forms; worship moves from Saguna symbols (Linga) to realization of Shiva as the omnipresent self-knowing consciousness.
Meditate on Shiva as the indwelling awareness while repeating the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), contemplating that all beings arise and abide in Him—supporting steady japa and inner absorption (dhyāna).
