उक्तातिरिक्तता तेषां समुद्रेषु समानि वै । पयांसि सर्वदाऽल्पत्वं जायते न कदाचन
uktātiriktatā teṣāṃ samudreṣu samāni vai | payāṃsi sarvadā'lpatvaṃ jāyate na kadācana

It teaches that Shiva’s grace and the spiritual merit born of true devotion are inexhaustible—like the ocean, they do not diminish, emphasizing the Lord as Pati who sustains and fulfills the seeker.
In Linga-worship, the devotee approaches Saguna Shiva as the ever-full refuge; the verse supports the idea that offerings, japa, and bhakti directed to the Linga yield unfailing spiritual fruit because the Lord’s śakti is not depleted.
Maintain steady daily japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with disciplined pūjā—such continuity is implied by the image of an ever-full ocean, encouraging unwavering practice rather than sporadic effort.
