Nandikeśvara: Incarnation, Consecration, and Marriage—Description
प्राञ्जलिः प्रणतो भूत्वा जयशब्दं चकार च । ततो गणाधिपास्सर्व्वे ततो देवास्ततोऽसुराः
prāñjaliḥ praṇato bhūtvā jayaśabdaṃ cakāra ca | tato gaṇādhipāssarvve tato devāstato'surāḥ
With palms joined, he bowed in reverence and uttered a cry of victory. Then all the chiefs of Śiva’s gaṇas did the same—after them the gods, and then even the asuras.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Mantra: jaya
It shows that true recognition of Pati (Śiva) arises through humility—añjali and namaskāra—after which even opposing forces align in reverence, indicating Śiva’s supreme lordship beyond faction.
The verse reflects Saguna-upāsanā: devotees approach the manifest Lord with reverent gestures and celebratory praise, the same devotional mood used before the Śiva-liṅga in temple and home worship.
Practice añjali (palms joined) and namaskāra before Śiva or the liṅga, then chant a Śiva-jaya or the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with a steady, surrendered mind.
