As the Goddess listened with joy, she placed her lotus-hand upon his head in blessing and granted him the imperishable status of Kumāra—ever-abiding divine sonship and authority.

It highlights anugraha (divine grace): Devī’s touch on the head signifies consecration and spiritual authorization, granting a stable, imperishable divine station that supports dharma and inner maturation toward liberation.
The verse reflects Saguna grace—personal divine intervention through Devī’s blessing. In Linga-worship, the devotee similarly seeks the compassionate bestowal of śakti and protection, acknowledging Shiva-Śakti as the living source of upliftment.
A practical takeaway is śiras-vandana (bowing the head in surrender) and receiving grace through mantra-japa—especially the Panchakshara “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—performed with bhakti, as the head-touch symbolizes inner initiation and steady spiritual resolve.
