Kṛṣṇadarśana said: “Truly, the unrighteous words spoken by your father are exactly as you have declared. What you have spoken is true and fitting—of this there is no doubt.”
Kṛṣṇadarśana
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
Significance: Śiva’s role as dharma-sākṣin (witness of truth) reassures the devotee; such assurance is a form of grace that steadies the paśu toward liberation.
Role: teaching
The verse upholds satya (truthful speech) and dharma as essential virtues; recognizing adharma and affirming what is righteous is presented as a foundational step for inner purity, which supports Shaiva progress toward grace (anugraha) and liberation.
Though the verse is ethical rather than ritual, Shaiva Siddhanta treats dharmic conduct and truthfulness as prerequisites for fruitful worship—Linga-pūjā and devotion mature when the devotee’s speech and judgment align with dharma.
A practical takeaway is satya-vrata (a discipline of truthful, non-harmful speech) alongside daily Shiva worship—mentally offering one’s words at the Linga and repeating the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to purify intention and expression.
