Daśa-Śivāvatāra-Nirūpaṇa
Enumeration of Ten Prime Manifestations of Śiva with Their Śaktis
ब्रह्मणो ब्रह्मवर्चस्वी क्षत्रियो विजयी भवेत । धनाधिपो हि वैश्यः स्याच्छूद्रः सुखमवाप्नुयात्
brahmaṇo brahmavarcasvī kṣatriyo vijayī bhaveta | dhanādhipo hi vaiśyaḥ syācchūdraḥ sukhamavāpnuyāt
By the grace of Śiva’s ordinance and worship, a brāhmaṇa becomes radiant with spiritual brilliance; a kṣatriya becomes victorious; a vaiśya becomes a lord of wealth; and a śūdra attains happiness and well-being.

Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Significance: Phalaśruti framed as Śiva’s grace distributing dharmic fruits suited to varṇa-āśrama duties—spiritual radiance, victory, prosperity, and well-being—supporting righteous living that can mature into bhakti.
Role: nurturing
It teaches that Śiva’s grace supports each person’s dharma: inner luminosity (brahma-tejas) for the brāhmaṇa, righteous success for the kṣatriya, prosperity for the vaiśya, and contentment for the śūdra—showing Śiva as Pati who uplifts all beings according to their station and effort.
The verse reflects the Purāṇic promise that Saguna Śiva worship—especially of the Liṅga as the accessible form of the Supreme—bestows both worldly stability (artha, victory, sukha) and the inner refinement that supports liberation.
Perform regular Śiva-pūjā to the Liṅga with mantra-japa (notably the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), along with simple observances like vibhūti (tripuṇḍra) and Rudrākṣa where appropriate, dedicating the fruits to Śiva for dharmic outcomes.
